Monografija N. Toš, Vrednote v prehodu X., Slovensko javno mnenje 2010–2016 predstavlja zaključni del knjižne zbirke, ki dokumentira temeljni sociološki empirični (longitudinalni) projekt slovenskega družboslovja: Slovensko javno mnenje. Projekt SJM je del nacionalnega programa. Knjiga je izšla v knjižni zbirki Dokumenti SJM, FDV IDV, ki predstavlja raziskovalno-publicistično spremljavo projekta SJM. V obdobju 1997–2015 je pod skupnim naslovom Vrednote v prehodu doslej izšlo devet zajetnih knjig, ki dokumentirajo celoten korpus empiričnih raziskav, ki potekajo od leta 1968 nepretrgano do danes. V doslej objavljenih devetih knjigah so tako objavljeni popolni prikazi in opisi dvainosemdesetih terenskih raziskav, oprtih na reprezentativne vzorce in ob uporabi anketne metode. V te raziskave je bilo vključenih okoli 140.000 prebivalcev Slovenije v okvirih najmanj 100 nacionalnih in 40 mednarodnih raziskovalnih projektov.

V prvi del knjige je umeščenih deset dokumentov, ki posredujejo popoln vpogled v rezultate sedmih tematskih raziskav ISSP (2010-2016), dveh raziskav ESS (2012, 2014), meritve v okviru WVS (2011), dodatno pa še vpogled v dve meritvi v okviru raziskave nacionalna in mednarodna varnost, meritev tematske raziskave delo, družina itd.

V drugem delu knjige sta dva avtorska sestavka o vrednotenju socializma in kapitalizma (Rus/Toš) ter preseki skozi vrednotno orientacijo Slovencev v obdobju 2010–2016 (N. Toš). Tretje poglavje dokumentira 50 let programa SJM s sestavki: Beležke raziskovalca – udeleženca (1956–2016); dalje, s poskusom vsebinske, metodske in časovne umestitve raziskav SJM (Š. Zajšek ) in prikazom dokumenta za iskanje vsebin v vprašalnikih SJM (S. Švara); dodan je popoln pregled raziskav SJM v obdobju 1968–2016.
